Creating a Vibrant, Welcoming Community
All parents at The International Preschools are members of the Parents Association, which plans and assists with fundraising, educational, and social events throughout the school year. The Parents Association is led by co-presidents and meets monthly. Each class has designated class parents who act as liaisons between the administration and the Parents Associations. They are responsible for organizing class communications, get-togethers and managing a schoolwide event led by their class. There are many ways for parents to get involved with the school through volunteering, culture shares and special events.
Because of the large number of families at The International Preschools who are not originally from New York City, Parents Association activities become a key vehicle for parents to support each other through the exciting milestones that the preschool years bring. The Parents Association organizes a wide range of events throughout the school year to promote the development of the community and raise funds to support the school. These events include the Annual Benefit, various community service activities, bake sales, book sales, and other events.
